It should be noted firstly that in fact Indonesia's Constitution guarantees the respect, protection, and fulfillment of human rights and we have a number of human rights instruments at the domestic level. However, despite these legal instruments the Indonesian Government still fails to fulfill its obligations with regards to freedom of religion or belief, particularly for the religious minorities, like the Ahmadiyya, Christian, Syiah, Bahais, believers of traditional religions, and many others.
